Today was our day to split up, boys were going climbing in Fontainebleau while girls went downtown Paris. We got up, got ready and the boys dropped us off at a subway station downtown.
The subway system in Paris is very different then the subway in Germany. As we walked down the hall we could see thick black mold growing on the walls and the station smelled of urine and body odor. We began to study our map and make our plans for the day.
We got off at our stop and climbed the stairs up into the beautiful city of Paris, France. We took out our map and tried to figure out where we were and where we were going. Along the way we met some young men from America that were just as lost as we were. We walked the streets together until we figured out where we were going and then ditched them.
Our first stop was Notre Dame Cathedral...
The church was so beautiful with such detail throughout. We walked into the sanctuary after hearing the church bells ring, they rang with such power and beauty. Such an amazing building to see.
More to come...
